OUR DESIGN

The Aroma Hotel is a contemporary expression of Redfern and Surry Hills — neighbourhoods defined by creative energy and cultural depth. The architecture draws Sydney’s natural light and outdoor way of life indoors, while considered interiors shape spaces that feel both calm and connected. Every design decision is intentional, contributing to a precinct that feels cohesive, lived-in and culturally engaged.

For meetings and private gatherings, our rooftop boardroom offers a refined, light-filled setting for up to 14 guests, thoughtfully designed for focus, conversation and connection.

POOL & CABANAS

High above Wunderlich Lane, our heated 20-metre rooftop pool offers a refined escape from the rhythm below. Open daily from 7am to 10pm, it shifts effortlessly from quiet morning swims to relaxed afternoons by the water, with underwater sound, attentive poolside service, and a curated menu of cocktails and light bites, perfect for unhurried afternoons. Sun beds and cabanas are available on a relaxed, first-come basis — inviting you to settle in and stay awhile.

FITNESS & WELLBEING

As The Aroma’s dedicated fitness space takes shape, guests enjoy complimentary access to leading neighbourhood wellness partners, curated by our Guest Services team to suit every rhythm and routine.

Stay active with access to Hiscoes Gym, a premium training space offering strength, conditioning and personal training, or move mindfully at Scout Studio Redfern, known for reformer and mat Pilates, heated classes, yoga, barre, and restorative experiences including sauna, magnesium and ice baths. From arrival through to departure, every detail is considered — so all that’s left to do is settle in. For guests staying in our Suites, VIP transfers in a Range Rover Sport are included through our exclusive partnership with Sydney City Land Rover. Arrival & Departure

The Aroma Hotel team will be ready to welcome you at 2 pm. Early guests can leave their luggage and discover the neighbourhood’s hidden gems with guidance from the concierge. Check-out at 11 am allows for a leisurely morning, with secure luggage storage available for those wanting to savour a few more local moments.
